You’ll need to Lockpick to get inside this area, though through the story you’ll find It’s on the power box to the left before you climb the ladder. This one is found inside of the power sub-station, overrun by Drain Deimos. The next possible gem you can find in the harder difficulties is the Ruby. It’s located in the back area of the inside of the Pharmacy, opposite the Aqua Cure poster. The first one you’ll find on the harder difficulties is probably going to be the Emerald. HOW TO FIND ALL THE FANCY BOXES IN NIGHTMARE / INFERNO MODE You’ll need the Bolt Cutters to get into the shop, which you’ll also acquire naturally through the story. The Sapphire can be found inside the Supermarket, which is the building on the left (almost directly opposite the toy shop). Keep in mind that to be able to reach this, you’ll need the Lockpick which you’ll find as you progress through the story. You can find the Emerald inside of the toy shop in the first area you emerge from coming from the Subway. If you’re struggling to locate it, it’s inside the same room as the typewriter and item box.

You don’t need any special equipment to reach it. This one is found inside of the bathroom of Moon’s Donuts. You’ll probably come along the Ruby first. HOW TO FIND ALL THE FANCY BOXES IN ASSISTED / NORMAL / HARDCORE MODE Your rewards, regardless of the difficulty, remain the same, and we’ve listed them too. Scattered throughout the first city area are three fancy boxes, each with a gem inside.ĭepending on what difficulty you’re on, the locations of the boxes will change – but we’ve covered both possible sets in this guide. It works a little bit differently in the remake than in the full game, as you’ll have to fill it with jewels to unlock some cool rewards similar to the safety deposit boxes in the Resident Evil 2 remake.

Any self-respecting Resident Evil fan would’ve recognised the jewel box in the subway when they played the Resident Evil 3 demo.
